PIERRE – Abundant pheasant numbers are expected when the regular pheasant hunting season opens Saturday in South Dakota. The daily possession limit is three cock pheasants, with an overall possession limit of 15 pheasants, taken according to the daily limit. Ice Tourney Entries Continue to Grow

The Mobridge Chamber reported today that the total teams registered to this point is 109! That is nearly half of the total participating teams in the 2008 tourney. The Chamber is expecting close to 300 teams for the one day affair.

There are now 90 teams registered for the Mobridge Chamber’s 2009 Ice Fishing Tourney! With entries coming in daily, it looks to be a record year for entries. The tourism committee is anticipating upwards of 300 teams fishing for more than $50,000 in cash in prizes.
