Ice off in Mobridge, South Dakota

It is now official!  Ice is off at Lake Oahe near Mobridge.  With the increased water flow, recent rains, and high winds, Lake Oahe is now open.  The Grand River still has ice on it, but with temperatures not dipping below freezing at night, area anglers are anticipating that the ice will clear withing the week.  This is good news for anglers that are fishing the Cabela’s sponsored MWC as they will be in the area shortly to start prefishing for the tournament that takes place on May 2nd and 3rd.
