July 1 Lake Oahe Fishing report – Mobridge
by MoRest Motel ~ July 1, 2009
Fishing continues to be good around the Mobridge area. The fish have moved a little shallower. 6-18′ seem to be the depths that have been producing the best. Between the rain and a couple of windy days, the water has gotten a little dirty. Water temps are around 76 degrees. Best presentations have been spinners with crawlers (silver and white being the best colors) and crankbaits have been working the best on the flats. Some areas that have been producing are: Walth’s Bay to Thomas, up river and down river points at Deadmans, main river points Cuthead to Leavenworth, mouth of Oak Creek, Moose and Rorgo Flats. With the late start I think our best fishing is yet to come.
