June 9th, Lake Oahe Fishing Report, Mobridge, South Dakota

by chamber2387 ~ June 9, 2009

As of now, fishing around the Mobridge area are fishing from Oak Creek to the state line.  If you are fishing in the Pollock area, walleye are biting in depths of 12 feet to 28 feet on worms, minnows and leeches. In other words, they are biting on everything and most everyone is catching nice size fish and their limit. Some are using crank bait and others are trolling with jigs. The water is no longer muddy so that seems to be helping. Most days there are between 50 – 100 boats out from the West Pollock dock. It is a big river so no one is crowded, everyone takes their turn loading and unloading and are having fun fishing.

The water around Mobridge is clearing up, and people are catching a few fish here and there, and anglers are using similar  I would anticipate that the fishing is going to pick up as the water temp increases, and the fish will start moving downstream.
