June 22, Lake Oahe fishing report, Mobridge, South Dakota

by MoRest Motel ~ June 22, 2009

Fishing has really taken off this past week in the Mobridge area.  Anglers are catching fish from around the Moreau River all the way to the state line near Pollock.  Some notable areas are Deadman’s Bay to north of Sitting Bull, Little Bear, Oak Creek to Leavenworth and the Moose Flats.  Anglers fishing the main lake points have been catching their fish using spinners or straight rigs with crawlers in 10-25′ of water.  The fish have been shallower on the flats.  Most are being caught in 6-12′ trolling smaller cranks over the top of the snags.
