Tough Enough To Wear Pink

Are You Tough Enough?

Tough Enough 2009

Tough enough to Wear PinkFor 2009 the Mobridge Rodeo Association is excited to to announce that the “tough enough” t-shirts will be available again.  For this year the t-shirts will be grey in color with pink lettering. After careful consideration, the association chose to bring back the t-shirts, and include a couple of other events for the night of July 3rd.  For people that chose to be “tough enough” on the night of the 3rd the Rodeo Association is going to donate one dollar for every t-shirt worn back to the Mobridge Regional Healthcare Foundation.  Before the performance there will be a balloon release for survivors and also to remember the ones that we have lost to cancer.  People interested in purchasing a balloon in advance will be able to find them at various retailers in Mobridge, and we will ask kids from the crowd to release the balloons from the arena for those who are not available to make it.  We are also planning a new event for this year’s “tough enough” night, the event will be called “Pink my Steer.”  There will be several teams of four people, sponsored by area businesses, and their goal will be to hold a rope that it is already on a 500-600 pound steer, bulldog it, drop it to the ground, throw a pair of pink boxers on the hind end of the steer, and complete the time by pulling the tail through the appropriate place.  This event should provide a little flavor to the Sitting Bull Stampede Rodeo, and give people in attendance a great show on top of the PRCA rodeo.

The winner of the 2 year lease of the 2008 Warriors in Pink Mustang was Kristi Moser of Mobridge! The drawing took place on the 4th of July at the Sitting Bull Stampede Rodeo in Mobridge.
